Union Public Schools has announced its 2025-2026 School Site Teachers of the Year. The District Teacher of the Year will be announced during a planned professional development day in the morning on Friday January 16, 2026.
Being named Teacher of the Year is one of the highest honors a teacher can receive at Union.
The Site Teachers of the Year are:
• Andersen Elementary – Sharon Cahwee, special education
• Boevers Elementary – Teresa McGinnis, second grade
• Cedar Ridge Elementary – Kayla Williams, second grade,
• Roy Clark Elementary – Katie Armour, kindergarten
• Darnaby Elementary – Amy Naylor, pre-kindergarten
• Grove Elementary – Sandra Henao Horta, special education
• Jarman Elementary – Grace Roberts, reading specialist
• Jefferson Elementary – Elise Skeie, first grade
• McAuliffe Elementary - Joann McCaslin Monk, special education
• Moore Elementary – Mylie Ellis, special education
• Ellen Ochoa Elementary – Emily Wade, special education
